Since the previous version (judging by the file info pane in the Finder) was last updated in 2009, I downloaded the new one eagerly, expecting the kind of improvements displayed on the Web interface. No functionality issues were found during our tests, but the application could use a makeover, given that its interface is quite rudimentary. A few days ago, exactly by visiting the Flickr Upload page on the Web, I noticed the suggestion to download the new Flickr Uploadr app. A plain-looking Flickr uploader and synchronization toolįlickr Mass Uploader can do its job as promised, uploading photos in a local folder to your Flickr account, in the 'Camera Roll' section.

The full sync option works pretty much the same as the simple ones, the only difference being that photosets that are not found on the local PC are deleted from Flickr as well. Additionally, new photos in the target folder are uploaded to Flickr. The simple sync deletes online photos that are no longer located in the local directory so you must be careful, as you might risk data loss. Multiple data synchronization optionsĪlthough you can use Flickr Mass Uploader to just backup photos to your Flickr account, there are also options to perform data synchronization. Pressing the 'Save' button at this point will make the application remember your settings. To do so, one option is to run a console window with administrator rights, navigate to the location of Flickr Mass Uploader, and load the JAR file using the "java -jar " command.
